Family Picture

We finally did it! We took a family picture today! I've been begging David to take one ever since, well since Aliza was born almost two years ago! Our last family picture was when Carmen was 6 months old. We weren't under the best circumstances for this picture. It was blazing hot outside and I wasn't able to use the timer and run, so we asked our neighbor to help snap the pictures. She really wasn't familiar with photography, but with a little photoshop magic I think we got a great shot. This is really the best one out of 105 pictures that we took. Carmen was less than cooperative!

I have not ever succeeded at posting a picture in my header, so this will do for now. If someone would love to help me post it in my header, I would love you forever!!!

Carmen's school picture

Carmen will be starting preschool in a few weeks. We have opted to do Joy School, which is a preschool co-op. There are five kids in her group, which means each week one of the five moms will teach school. We hope for it to be a positive learning experience for her.

So, with school fast approaching, I've been trying to get her to take some school pictures for me. My kids have learned to run from the camera as soon as it comes out. But I was finally able to convince her to pose for a few shots. I only got a FEW before she was done. This one was one of my favorites. I am in the middle of editing two other photo sessions I did the same day, so I have not gotten to the other ones of Carmen, but I just had to play with this one. I can't believe how big my baby is getting!!!

The Water Slide

One day last week all the neighbor kids were at our house. They came up with the wild idea to make a water slide. It was a big hit and the kids played all afternoon. We even came up with a little potluck lunch and had a picnic in the backyard. I hope it's days like this that my kids will remember when they are older.

Elise and Alexa came to visit

Last week we finally had Alexa and Aliza meet up! They are only four days apart in age and then we named them such similar names! It was a little confusing at times. We had a fun week playing at Central Park, going to the Oakland Zoo and playing in the backyard. The girls had so much fun playing together. And Carmen LOVED being the big helper!! I couldn't believe how she did almost everything I asked her to do to help with the little ones.

Being pregnant, I was feeling SOOOOO tired all week, I hope they weren't dissapointed in my lack of adventure! We did have fun and are so happy they came to visit us before they move across the country to Chicago. We love you Elise and Alexa!!!!
