Weeks 11, 12 and 13 - Project 365

Ok, I finally feel like I can get back into the swing of this project. Hopefully, I can pick up where I left off and get back in the habit of taking  pictures Add Imageeveryday. Here are a few pictures from the last three weeks, in no particular order.

This is the only picture so far I've been able to get all three girls in the same shot!

Charlotte asleep on the couch. She just looked too precious, I had to take a picture!
Carmen with Charlotte - Carmen really has the great ability to calm her down and put her to sleep. She is a great helper...sometimes. :)
Our bathroom had to have some repair work done to it due to some water damage, nothing major. They did have to rip apart our entire master bath and it took them a week to complete it! The bathtub sat at the foot of our bed for several days. And those are the shower panels behind the tub!
This hat was made by Charlotte's Great Grandma Teerlink. She was modeling it for us.
My sister provided the girls with a project a day to work on while she was here. They had so much fun painting and gluing and making all sorts of fun things. Thanks Sarah for entertaining them so much!
Sarah and Aliza enjoying a popsicle on the couch.
Charlotte with her Aunt Sarah just before she left us to go back to Virginia.
Disneyland!!! We waited in line to see the princesses. We got to see Belle, Ariel and Jasmine. Every time I've done this, I've vowed NEVER to do it again! But we've done it each time we've gone.
At Central park - Sarah spinning the girls with their friend Sariah on the merry go round.
David playing baseball with all the neighborhood kids. They had a great time that day hitting the ball all around the court.

Our Disneyland Trip

While my sister was here visiting we decided very last minute to make the trip to Disneyland. My sister had never been to Disneyland or World before so this was very exciting for her! We hopped in the car and drove down just as fast as we could get ready.
Many people have commented that I'm crazy to go to Disneyland just 10 days after having a baby! But really the baby was the easiest part!!! Aliza throwing up the whole drive down was the hardest part....she felt better the next day and was able to enjoy her trip. Our visit was fast but fun.
Charlotte even lost her umbilical cord in Frontier land!!! It was a bitter sweet feeling. I was glad it was gone because I hate those ugly things, but it made me realize that she just won't stay little for long.
Here are some pictures from our day.

This is what Charlotte looked like 90% of the time, the rest of the time she was eating.
Us in front of the castle.
David with Aliza on It's a Small World ride.
Carmen on "It's a small world" ride.
Aliza and me with Belle - we also saw Ariel and Jasmine
Aliza wanted to hold Charlotte while we waited for the others to get off of Thunder Mountain Railroad. Carmen was NOT a fan of the ride.
Carmen posing for mommy - she was having so much fun!
Carmen with Aunt Sarah on...I don't know what this ride is called...it flies around in cirlces.
Aunt Sarah with the girls
This is what they looked like at the end of the day. They have never slept together, so this is pretty cute to see them so close like this. They were exhausted!

I really have so much to blog about. It's been two weeks since I've done my project 365, but I just can't find time right now. We are doing well and adjusting to the new baby. When life settles down a bit I can post about our latest happenings.

Sneak Peek of Charlotte

I took some pictures of Charlotte yesterday. She wasn't too cooperative, but here are just two from the session. I'm still editing the rest. More to come!

More Charlotte Pictures

We are home and doing well. The first night went great. And big sisters are adjusting. Aliza doesn't like for me to nurse the baby. The first time she saw me do it, she said "get her mouth off of you!" and was pulling her head away from me.
Here are some new pictures of her. I hope to get out to the garage to take some newborn pictures of her today or tomorrow. I want to do them soon while she's still so "sleepy". Thank you everyone for all the well wishes, help, and dinners. We couldn't do this without so much help and love.

CHARLOTTE HAS ARRIVED

April has asked that I put the post up. She had Charlotte last night at 6:39PM. She weighed 8lbs 1 oz and had a 14.5 inch head...WOW!!! Mom and baby are doing great...

I was very impressed on how well APril did. She was a REAL trooper..
Aliza and Carmen are so excited to have a little sister. For the last couple days all they would do is talk about Charlotte and how they wanted to help their little sister. Aliza and Carmen made a pact themselves. Aliza would put Charlottes PJs on every night and Carmen would put on Charlottes play clothes every morning...( We will see how this goes :-)
Aliza and Carmen are going to make GREAT BIG Sisters...

I always enjoy the first couple days after a baby is born.

Week 10 - Project 365

I've already been chastised for not getting this done sooner, so here goes for last week. Plus, I can't give up on week TEN! I've made it this long. But, as a disclaimer, I am having my baby tomorrow, so please be forgiving if I don't get this done every week after this, especially this week. :)

This is Carmen very intensely painting a treasure box. She takes these sort of things VERY seriously!

I just love how sweet my little Aliza looks in this picture. Today is the last day that she will be my baby! Tomorrow she will be a big sister, and in a way that makes me really sad. My Aliza is just so sweet. Here she painting her choo choo train, which she carries everywhere.

Aliza with her cousin Laney watching Diego in Grandma's bed.

The infamous prego pizza that didn't work!!! We drove an hour to this place that is famous for it's labor inducing pizza. It was so gross, I could hardly stand to swallow it. But I managed a slice and a half, and then another whole slice the next day. It didn't work...but it was still a fun outing with the family.

Oma made these baby doll blankets for the girls to match the new baby's blanket. Aliza right away got her baby and wrapped it up in the blankie. She loves her babies.

Carmen and her friend Sariah getting ready to ride bikes to the park. The weather is finally warm enough to enjoy outings to the park.

This is a diaper cake my friend Jodi made for my baby shower. She is so creative and it was so cute, until I carried it home and it fell apart on the way. I still loved it!!

David got me some tulips for our 5 year anniversary. We also went to a churrascaria to celebrate our day. It was such a fun experience.

Aliza has really been wanting to wear panties recently. She still hasn't gone potty in the toilet, yet she hasn't had an accident in the panties. She just asks for a diaper when she needs to go potty. I don't think either one of us is quite ready to jump on the potty train.

Carmen took this picture of my big belly at 38 weeks.

Yesterday was our Five year wedding anniversary. I am so grateful for the past 5 years, and hope to have at least 50 more years together with my best friend. David is such a wonderful companion for me and such a great father to his children.

To celebrate we went into San Francisco to Espetus Brazilian Churrascaria - it was delicious, and I really wanted to lick my plate. For those unfamiliar with rodizio churrasco, it's basically all you can eat meat. The waiters walk around with huge skewers of various types and cuts of meat. This place had 15 different types of meat -all of which were divine! They are served right off the fire and cut right onto your plate. There is also a salad bar full of various brazilian dishes, including rice and beans, which I actually enjoyed last night! And for dessert Mousse de Maracuja - or Passion Fruit Mousse. That's when I wanted to lick my plate. I was so mad I forgot my camera, so we used David's phone camera, which wasn't so great, but here's a picture of me with my dessert. Keep in mind that I'm 39 weeks pregnant in this picture!!
