Cirque Du Soleil

For our Valentine date, David and I went to see Cirque Du Soleil - Ovo in San Jose. It was an amazing show! This is the 3rd CDS show I've seen and I've loved them all!! If you ever have the chance to see a show, it's worth the money. Thank you David for treating me to a special night!

Valentines Day

Our day was pretty low key. The girls worked hard on making Valentines for Grandma's and then they made Valentines for their Joy School friends.

The girls got a package from Oma with all sorts of wonderful treasures in it.
Aliza is making a candy necklace from a kit in the package.
These are what the girls took to Joy School.
The girls also got Valentine shirts in their package. I tried and tried to get a
decent picture of them in their matching outfits. But to no avail....

Dumpster Diving

So I have a confession to make. I am addicted to crafting blogs! I could blog hop all day long looking at all the creative and beautiful things people can make. And secretly I dream that I could make those same things. I frequently read one blog that suggested asking local construction workers for their scrap wood to make your projects with. However, this being California, most the construction workers don't speak English! My friend and I set out to find our own stash of wood that we could just help ourselves to. We waited until dark and this night it was also very rainy and muddy. But we found a dumpster full of treasure! We've already made one project with our stash and I even won a blog contest and I will use my prize on my project. I will reveal the project once the gift has been given.... stay tuned!

Finding the Beautiful

This morning I was feeling a little... unmotivated. The girls were are school and I just wanted to sit on the couch and do nothing! Not even watch TV or read a book. I sat staring at the beautiful tulips David surprised me with last night. I decided I needed to find more beautiful things in my day.

Here are the tulips from my best friend, David.

He also surprised the girls each with their own flowers.
They both wanted to keep them in their room.

And what is more beautiful or precious than a sleeping child?

January Wrap Up

January came and went so quickly and it's already February.
Here is some randomness from January.
I did a photo session with the girls, but things got really busy and then my photoshop is NOT working, so I've been unable to work on the pictures. (or any pictures for that matter, that's why none of these look that great) I did get a few done and this was one of them. My Aliza, she is so sweet, my little angel. (most of the time, she is 3, afterall!)

This is Charlotte's new favorite pastime. She has discovered
the drawers and loves to empty them all day long!
These were some yummy treats we made one night for Family Home Evening.
It's days like this that I will miss when we move away from "The Court"! Saturday we spent the afternoon in the court with our neighbor friends. They had gotten new umbrella's and they were all the rage! The dad's took care of the little ones and had a good chat. They even worked in a game of basketball! I just sat back and watched the kids play and the husbands chat. It's days like this that I will miss the most!

Carmen once again with her best bud.
Aliza idolizes Meilani and will follow her anywhere and do whatever she asks her to do!

All the kiddies posing under the umbrella's

Then they had a little parade... some times I wonder what the neighbors think of us!

We were supposed to be cleaning out the car, but got sidetracked with all the fun going on

... And Miss Charlotte - she loves this little bike. She crawled all around trying to keep up with the big kids. She just needs to start walking so she can play too.
