Veterinarian Carmen and The Loose Tooth

For school Carmen got to either dress up as a storybook character or something she wants to be when she grows up. She thought about it for a long time and finally decided to be a veterinarian. We got to go to school and watch all the students and teachers parade through the halls.

Her teacher, Mr. Bernhardt - a dirt bike rider

 Carmen - the Veterinarian
She had a stethoscope on earlier, but I guess it didn't make it into the parade.
She is carrying her cat/patient in her purse, to be very Paris Hilton-ish.
And her chef coat turned doctor coat has written on a badge "Dr. Carmen - Veterinarian"

The First Loose Tooth:

Carmen could hardly fall asleep last night because her tooth was so close to falling out. She was beyond excited with the idea of the Tooth Fairy coming to visit. This morning when she left for school I was certain it would fall out while she was there. Sure enough, she came bounding off the bus this afternoon with her hand covering her mouth, and a tooth necklace around her neck. She said she lost it during art class and it didn't hurt or bleed when it fell out.  All of her classmates wanted to see it! So, let's hope I'm not one of those mom's who always forgets to "tell the tooth fairy to come".

Meet Virginia

I have so many other things I should be blogging about today, but I wanted to post these pictures. This morning David graciously let me go out and take some pictures at Hollymeade Lake. I've been wanting to do this for a few weeks now and with Fall at it's peek, I didn't want to miss the pretty colors. It was so serene and beautiful. I could have stayed all morning and enjoyed watching the light and fog move across the lake. Here are just a few from my walk.
