Painting Nails

I just love this girl! Charlotte is very much a two year old and insists on doing everything HERSELF! Including painting her nails! I just let her have a go at it and she was so hilarious with her expressions of approval on her job well done.

It's day like today that I hope my children will remember when they grow up.

Funny Video

This video is pretty boring except after you reach the one minute mark it starts to get funny. Then I can't stop laughing!!! Then it gets boring again.

Charlotte's 2nd Birthday

For Charlotte's 2nd birthday we had a small family birthday party. She is still small enough to not really understand what was going on, but she was still excited to open her presents and wasn't willing to share them with anyone.
New Elmo movie and Leap Frog computer (from Grandma Bean)
New book to help her with her words
 Doll Clothes
Finally, her own doll - so she will leave her sister's dolls alone
I can't believe it's been two years already!
She really thought we were strange when we started singing Happy Birthday to her
We love Dairy Queen ice cream cake
You've gotta love those big blue eyes!
It was a fun and low key day. She had been sick, along with her sisters for almost two weeks and was finally feeling normal again on her birthday. We just love Charlotte being in our family, we wouldn't have it any other way. She is so loving and always making sure her sisters are taken care of as well. Whenever she gets a drink or snacks, she makes sure to get some for her sisters too. She loves bubbles, dancing, babies, reading stories, Blues Clues, Barney and chocolate milk!

Anniversary Getaway

We celebrated out 7 year anniversary with a quick getaway to West Palm Beach, Florida.  It was a wonderful escape to warmer weather and sunnier skies. We stayed here at Bradley Park Hotel.
We did a lot of eating - this bird really wanted David's cinnamon roll
And we did some reading
And soaking up the rays on the beach
We went for long walks... and took a nap, watched the BYU/San Diego basketball game, went shopping
And ate our traditional Brazilian Rodizio for our anniversary dinner.
What a great way to spend the weekend with David. I so enjoy and always look forward to our little annual getaways. David always has to try so hard to convince me leave the kids. Not that I don't look forward to alone time as a couple, but it's always so much work packing for the kids and arranging care for them while we are gone. But it's always worth it in the end.

February Round Up

Our February was pretty uneventful. I don't even know where the whole month went or even what we did. But here's Charlotte wishing for sunnier weather.

The girls insisted we take this picture for David before he left on a business trip. They wanted to make sure he didn't forget us while he was gone.
