3 Ballerinas

The girls all took ballet lessons this Fall. They each really enjoyed their classes and it was fun to see them improve each week. Three hours of ballet in one day was a bit much for me and Dallin to sit through, but I really enjoyed watching the girls do something they liked.

We planted a garden

David spontaneously decided we needed to plant a garden. I was so against the whole idea because it seemed a like a lot of work and I assumed I would be doing all of it. But it was actually a lot of fun to plant and the girls have done really well at keeping it watered. And I've enjoyed picking fresh lettuce for dinner salads.
We planted romaine lettuce, iceberg lettuce, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. We've gotten a lot of iceberg and romaine lettuce so far. The spinach has almost all died, which is a disappointment because that was what I was most excited about. The rest are all still growing and not ready for picking yet. We've been quite impressed with our meager attempt at a garden!

UPDATE: This was our first crop of spinach, broccoli and cauliflower.

Dallin Boy

Let's pretend these are all taken with my fancy shmancy camera, and not my iPhone camera.  These are all snapshots of Dallin from about 5-7 months old.
He can be so serious. You have to be serious when you're a dude driving a pink car.
Or he can give the greatest deep belly laughs.
This was his first time in a high chair at a restaurant.
 He loves this toy.

I loved how "boyish" this outfit was.
Poor buddy cried and cried until he fell asleep. He often demands more attention than I can give him. I'm sure this day I was busy making dinner or helping with homework or helping Charlotte go potty or cleaning up some mess or another, or doing all of the above at the same time.

After church one Sunday. Isn't he so handsome?!
I just adore the way he tilts his head to the side and gives me a big smile! (Mommy is so wrapped around his little finger)
Hmm... must make a better cape than bib.
 6 months old!
The girls all have ballet one day a week - they are each in a different class.... which means 3 hours of sitting through ballet. It's always a fun time entertaining a baby for three hours. Good thing he's so cute!

Squishy face!
Charlotte just adores this little guy. She is often found smothering him with hugs and kisses.
Or rolling around with him on the floor.  He tolerates his sisters for the most part....
And sometimes he gets even.
