First Day of School - 2013

Charlotte was beyond excited about starting preschool this year. She is attending at Northridge Preschool and her teacher is Mrs. James. She is in the monkey class.

These girls are starting another year at Baker Butler Elementary school.

Dallin just really wanted to be in a picture. But he never really posed that well.

Teacher Letters

I spent all summer hearing "when will we know who our new teachers will be?". It's that question that wouldn't go away and to which I didn't know the answer. The girls waited in the driveway for many days waiting for the mail truck to come.
But the mailbox always came up empty of teacher letters.
Finally, 2 days before school started we caught word that others had gotten their teacher letters in the mail. Now, our mail comes really late, so it was a super long afternoon. But alas the mail truck made it's way up our street!! I wanted to take a picture of the mailman actually putting the teacher letters in the mailbox, but I was too embarrassed. The girls ran to find their letters.  Aliza got Mrs. Sysling and Carmen got Mrs. Eiden.

More Summer Lovin'

We spent a lot of our summer at the splash park, swimming lessons, gymnastics or photography class. If we weren't at one of those places, we were at home in our jammies.
Bathing beauties at the splash park
Swimming lessons - they improved so much this year! Even Aliza was swimming in the deep end by the end of lessons.
This must have been a day with no planned activities. We stayed in our PJs if we didn't have any where to go. But that didn't stop the kids from playing outside, or even sitting on the sidewalk eating Popsicles.
Most of the time I feel like my front yard looks like I run a daycare center....

 Snuggles with my beautiful boy
This day we made a trip over the mountain to visit Oma. We had to stop at Willy's to get ice cream and then we stopped at the scenic overlooks on the way home. We live in a beautiful part of the world!
Carmen made us all 4th of July parfaits and painted everyone's face. Fun times!

Summer Lovin'

I always heard mothers say how much they love summer and having their kids around all the time. I never really felt that way before. I loved when Fall would roll around and I would send the kids off on the school bus. But this summer felt different to me. I actually did love having them around and I loved our carefree summer days.
He really is as mischievous as he looks.
 Dallin really does love Aliza
 Dallin's first bow tie!

We had a neighborhood movie night. We popped a TON of popcorn.
 Such a pretty girl
We spent MANY hours at The Little Gym waiting on Charlotte and Aliza's gymnastic classes. He was entertained with these cars most of the time.
The girls stayed nice and healthy by doing Yoga.... one time.
Carmen was trying to learn how to face paint.
Carmen took a photography class. This day her class met at Carter's Mountain. We picked apples and had peach cider donuts.

Homemade cinnamon rolls. That's the sign of a great mother!
 Mustaches!
Dallin wasn't so sure about his.
