You've Had a Birthday, Shout Hooray!

The arrival of Charlotte's 6th birthday was a day everyone knew was coming. She was counting down the days and would let everyone know just how many more days until her big day.

She had been asking for an American Girl doll horse for several years and I finally gave in and got it for her. She was over the moon excited about it!

Her birthday was also pajama day at school. That's one lucky birthday to get to wear pjs to school!

After some high recommendations, I got her the "Fairy Birds" book. It's adorable and teaches all about giving. These wings so with the book.

And we celebrated in true Bean Fashion by going to Red Robin with cousins and Oma and Poppy.

Then we went home to have birthday cake. I love how Aliza is covering Dallin's mouth in this picture, to keep him from blowing out the candles.

(Here she is doing the same thing to Charlotte on Dallin's birthday!)

We just love this girl! I remember the day she was born and I was in the hospital room alone with her. She was lying in the bassinet and I looked over at her from my bed. She had jet black spiky hair, and lots of it!  And I just thought "this girl is going to be spunky". No truer words have entered my mind before. She is full of spunk and that's what we love about her. She is brave and strong. And she is always quick to make a friend.

Double Anniversary Celebration

David and I celebrated our 11th year of marriage on March 5th. We happen to share this special day with my Teerlink Grandparents. We had a double date to the Downtown Grill on The Mall in Charlottesville. They even gave us all a free dessert of our choosing! It was such a special evening to be able to share it with them. I have always admired my grandparents and David and I hope to aspire to the many wonderful things that they have accomplished in their 62 years of married bliss.

More Snow.....

We love snow days! And this year we got plenty of them.

Second Grade Chinese Celebration

Each year the 2nd Grade does a China unit and to end the unit off they have a Chinese lunch where parents are invited. I told Ms. Williams that it's my favorite class activity to come support! This day it happened to be on Dallin's birthday, so that made it even more fun. Aliza also had on display her silk screen painting. She of course picked a panda bear to paint since those are her most favorite.

A Baby No More - Dallin Turns 3

We just absolutely adore this silly boy. Dallin has brought so much fun into our home. I just never knew what we were missing without a boy in our family. I know I say that every year. I used to laugh at all the ridiculous things David thought were fun, but now I see that Dallin loves those things too.

He has discovered the freedom of only wearing underwear. I don't really like when he does this, but with potty training, it's sometimes best to wear the least amount of clothes as possible. It does make sword access a lot easier though!
Present time! Normally we wait until after dinner to do presents. But I knew he was going to drive me crazy all day asking to open his presents. So we did it first thing that morning.
It was an Octonauts birthday. He really loves that show.

And he got his own Kinetic Sand so he will stop playing with Aliza's.
And he had one last big surprise - we told him to close his eyes.....
 ....Then open them!
 A BIG BOY BIKE!!!!
