Aliza's Birthday

Aliza's birthday came and went and boy did we celebrate! She started the day with a very rare family breakfast.

 And presents before school.

 

 She had her outfit picked out for several days. I didn't know what she had chosen until that morning. But I was immediately reminded of my 3rd grade picture!

 I've always had the tradition of picking the girls up from school and taking them out to lunch. But this year Aliza's requested cupcakes for her class. So Dallin and I took cupcakes during her lunch time.

 The next night she got to have a friend birthday party. I'm not always super great at throwing parties for my kids, but I was able to pull it off this year. She opted for a "late over" with her friends. They decorated pillow cases, had a pizza dinner and watched a movie with a "Candy Bar". She has some great friends and it was a fun night!

My Buddy

While Dallin is in school two morning out of the week, most of his time is spent with me. I just love having him as my little sidekick! He's funny and always entertaining. And the things that come out of his mouth almost always crack me up! He's reached the age of board games. His favorites are Sorry and Candy Land.

One day after a lot of "inside days", I decided to take him for a walk around the lake near our house. He wasn't too excited at first, but once we were out of the car, he was happy for the sun shining down on us and the open space to run. And of course all the sticks he found along the path. I happened to get some very adorable pictures of him too.

I told him to put his hands in his pockets... he was being quite silly trying to get them into the wrong pockets.

 Isn't he so handsome?!
