Aliza turns 11

Aliza turned 11 on the 13th. She is always so excited about her birthday. Aliza is turning into such a beautiful young woman and I'm excited for her to try out something completely new next month - Competition Cheer! She tends to be more on the quiet side and doesn't always love a crowd. She enjoys her alone time, just like her mom. She doesn't open up very often, but when she does it's really fun to hear all she has to say. And she is very smart in all of her classes, always getting  straight A's.

She requested this KitKat cake, just like one I made for her a long time ago. It was super delicious and very festive.

Halloween and Fall

It's a known fact in this house that Halloween is my least favorite holiday. I just have a hard time getting excited about it. And since we've moved, we no longer have friends over for chili and hanging out in the driveway passing out candy. But the ward Halloween party is always there to help my kids get more in the spirit.

Aliza even invited her friend Kate to come.

These guys make me laugh. Although Halloween is not my favorite, I love when they all get along and play together.

We broke down and bought a leaf vacuum this Fall. Living on 3 acres of somewhat wooded land, makes for a lot of leaves. More than we could rake up in a reasonable amount of time. My dad and David sure have fun with this toy though.

Carving pumpkins, this was the only picture I got of that fun little activity.

Dallin's class invited parents to come have lunch and make jack-o-lanters and watch a concert. The weather was gorgeous this day for being outside. Dallin dress as Lloyd Ninjago again this year. We've got to get our moneys worth out of that costume.

This show was so cute and some of the songs were in French. The kindergartners get to be part of a small French immersion program.

After the picnic I got to go to Aliza's class party. From Kindergarten to 5th, it was a fun day!

For Halloween Carmen wanted us all to dress as Christmas Carolers. We hit up the Goodwill to find some ugly Christmas sweaters and donned our hats and scarves.

I LOVE my yard during every season, but Fall is pretty spectacular.
