David decides to go back to school

Ever since David sold his company, he has been anxious to move onto something new. He stayed on with Teledyne Lecroy through the transition from Frontline, but grew increasingly unhappy with working for the new owners. We pondered and prayed for MONTHS about what to do next.  School or another company or keep working at Teledyne...? The answers just never seemed to be coming. Nothing ever felt right.

He had a few interviews with potential new companies, including one in Kansas City (which was why we went there for Spring Break). We fell in love with the possibility of David working for Garmin in Kansas City, but it wasn't meant to be.

So as a way of showing the Lord that we were willing to do anything, and put action with our faith, we decided to start applying to schools and see how that option felt. David has always dreamed of going to BYU, but Charlottesville is home and no one was super excited about moving to Utah.  But as the answers still weren't clear, we decided to show the Lord we were willing to do anything. At this point David had applied to BYU and UVA. We had only heard from BYU and were still waiting on UVA. But it was reaching the point that we needed to start putting an action into place if we were moving to Utah. I reluctantly boarded the plane to Utah to do some house hunting.  While on my flight I noticed this "inspirational thought" on the back of my granola bar....was this a sign?

But then again, as soon as I was off the plane I stopped to grab a drink. I didn't really pay any attention to the bottle until I was scanning it to pay. I nearly dropped the bottle when I read what was written on the back - VIRGINIA! Was this a sign? I felt so confused!!!

On my trip home from Utah, David got his acceptance to UVA. Now we felt especially torn.  We figured if he was denied from UVA, our choice would be clear. But now we had two great options on the table. UVA/Darden or BYU Marriott School. After counseling together as a family and more fasting and prayer, we made the decision to stay in Charlottesville and David will attend Darden!!

We just might become WaHoo Fans after all.
