Teerlink Family Reunion means going to the Outer Banks! We had a great week together at the beach. We ate great food all week, we swam in the pool, relaxed on the beach, braved the waves, took family pictures and spent way too much time on a puzzle.
I love my sister so much and her kids are my favorite niece and nephew. ;)
It was blazing hot when we decided to do these pictures...no one lasted very long.
Love love love these two!
These two are stinking adorable in Poppy's truck!
This is one of my new favorite pictuers! We sat on this rooftop on the 4th of July to watch the fireworks.
We've been to OBX so many times and have never been to the sand dunes. So we finally made it this time around. And it was so fun, but so hot. I literally felt like I was crossing the dessert. And each time I reached the top of a dune, I was sure it was going to be the tippy top, but it just lead to another mound to climb. We did finally make it to the top, and my legs were aching from all that climbing. But the view was spectacular.
Poppy tries to put up a front that he doesn't care for Koda, but I know he secretly loves him. I caught the two of them snuggled up on the couch.
The wild horses on the beach are always a privilege to see. They are so stunning in the wild.
While taking a walk down to the pier we met some people crabbing off the pier. They let us give it a try! We didn't catch any...but I was okay with that.
Growing up when I would go to family reunions, my grandparents had something called "Hug Dollars". You could give them a hug each day in return for $1. It was their way to making sure they connected with each of their 27 grandkids everyday. Well Poppy decided to implement something similar. Dallin made sure to give him hugs everyday!During quarantine, we kind of all got into doing puzzles. I through this one in the car kind of as a passing thought. I decided to pull it out on the first day at the beach and start on it. It was quickly taken over by my dad and everyone else. We spent hours on this thing as we knew we only had the week to get it done. And it was a challenging puzzle. There were late hours and early mornings dedicated to this thing!
We also had our second round of fostering! This is Reese and Rhonda and we just fell in love with these babies! We had them for 3 weeks before they were both adopted together. I was so glad they went to the same home.
More swimming at this property that my dad takes care of for the owners. They let him use the pool whenever he wants, so we take advantage when we can! We LOVE Duck Donuts, but pretty much always stick to our tried and true flavors. We decided to order one of every of their most populars donut combinations and put them to the test. We split each donut 6 ways and ranked each one. The final analysis showed that we still love our tried and true flavors. When you know what you love, you stick with it the rest of your life!
We spent a beautiful day at Chiles Peach Orchard picking peaches and fresh flowers. We definitely over paid for everything, but it's the experience that you get that is worth it. I think we made 6 bouquets out of all the flowers we were able to pick. We crammed as many stems as we could into each $10 plastic cup of water they gave us.
