Waynesboro Stake 2021 Aaronic Priesthood Quorum Camp

In 2019, David had the opportunity to work with the Waynesboro Stake Youth Leadership Committee to plan the 2021 Waynesboro Stake Aaronic Priesthood Quorum Camp.  It was a very challenging but rewarding experience.  The challenging part was that COVID was in the middle of it and he wanted to make sure that the trip was safe for all participants.   There were 150 people present at the camp.  This are his words about the experience:

My favorite part of camp was day 1. When all the campers arrived, the priests in charge of camp embraced all the younger young men that arrived at camp.

We had a lot of extra budget we needed to use from previous years, so we acquired some camp equipment for the stake. That's a lot of dutch ovens!

We had so much gear, I had a 12 foot trailer full of camping gear, and it wasn't enough.

June 2021

June was a crazy busy month, hence not very many pictures. We sold our house back in April, but the buyers are letting us stay until July 5th. So this entire month we've been working on packing up everything that didn't already go into storage back in March. We still haven't found a house to move into. We've been looking here locally, as well as in Utah. Only time will tell where we end up! Until then, we've got a little bit of a plan of where we are going to stay.

In the meantime, the girls got to go to Youth Conference. I wasn't there, so this is literally the only picture I have from it. I guess they had a painting portion.

To distract from all the packing, we took a wack at "pour art". It was pretty fun and each piece turned out so unique. Dallin probably got into more than anyone else.

And Carmen got a job!! She's working at Chick-fil-a and loving it so far. She's taking orders and saying "My pleasure" like a pro.

And school came to a close. It felt a little anti-climatic this year since they had been at home for so much of the year. I didn't even get an end of year picture of Carmen, that's how anti-climatic it was. Aliza didn't get to have her 8th grade graduation in person, which was sad. They did do a virtual thing, but was wasn't as exciting. But we are still super proud of her and she is so ready for high school.

We had fun turning ourselves into Disney characters, pretty cool if I say so myself. I love how slender it made me look.

We also met our across the street neighbor finally after living here for 5 years. We always wanted to ride their horses, but we never got to know them. She loved Carmen and wanted her to get into 4H, which she runs, but we told her we are moving in a few weeks. Then everyone was sad. But we got to hold her cool bird.
