This month was so busy! More Cheer Competitions and more ribbons. These girls are really improving more and more each time.
Carmen and her friend Owen went to the Snowcoming Dance. They had a fabulous time with their friends.
I love these posts the school makes on days of competitions. These pictures from media day are so fun. Aren't they so intimidating?!
Carmen with her bestie Kaylee!
Oh and we also went a whole week with no power! It was awful. We were freezing and our only source of heat was the fireplace, which actually didn't work. But we had a friend come over and rig it for us so it would put out a little heat. We all just stayed in the family room with loads of blankets. We would run our generator long enough to keep food cold and charge our devices. We really miss our whole house generator we had in Virginia!
David and I did escape the cold one night to go to Shipshewana to see the comedian John Crist. I had gotten us tickets for as a Christmas gift and it was finally time to use them. I did feel a teeny bit guilty leaving the kids freezing at home. But it was a great night.
And our dear friend Jen Randall put on the most amazing performance of The Lamb of God. Apparently she had done this show for years and it was always a great community event, then COVID put a stop to it. This year, she felt like it was time to bring it back. We've heard about the show ever since we moved here, so it was great to finally witness it. Many of our friends were in the choir or soloist. Even Carmen preformed in the choir. She said it was an incredible experience. Maybe I'll do it next year...
