Having a graduating Senior is no joke plus the end of the school year hoopla and no joke! May started with Dallin and helping "Sleep in Heavenly Peace" build beds for kids in need. He wasn't super thrilled to be there, but did enjoy using a power tool.
Aliza was inducted into the National Honor Society. She's always held herself to a pretty high standard when it comes to academics and it has paid off.
For Mother's Day the young women sold boxes of goodies that they made. Everything inside was delicious and those sugar cookies were gorgeous. Ones of their leaders taught them all how to airbrush on the cookies and these are what they made and sold.
I guess here in Michigan its a thing to have a sign outside your neighborhood with all the graduating seniors names on it. Huntington Hills only has two graduating this year.
This man is Mr. Robertson and he was Carmen's EMT teacher and just the best thing for her! They love each other so much. This was her last day at the Tech Center.
At Senior Awards Night he came and presented her with the Outstanding Student of the Year award and gave the most beautiful tribute to her.
She also got several other awards - graduating Magna Cum Laude, and received the Jackson Peebles Scholarship.
And then she was officially hired to work for Life EMS and gets to practice all she has learned the past two years out in the real world of emergencies! Boy does she come home with some of the best stories from her shifts.
We held a party in our front yard under a large rented tent. The weather was perfect and so many friends showed up that we only have known for a short time. I loved seeing all the support she got on this big milestone in her life.
And finally the last day of school came! This year felt like a doozy, but it all came to beautiful end.
