Snow Day

We traveled to Tahoe to play in the snow this past weekend. The girls were beyond excited to go! Once we got there and got all bundled up, Carmen slipped on the ice immediately. After that she was DONE! She wanted nothing to do with the snow. She fell down multiple times as we tried convincing her it would be fun. She refused to go on the sled and Aliza was scared because Carmen was so worked up. The entire time Carmen screamed "put me back in the car!!!! I want to go home!!!!". The entire time being.... TEN MINUTES! That's all we could manage to get them to play in the snow. So, we got some hot chocolate and then drove the 2 1/2 hours back home! It was ridiculous, but funny. So, the last picture captures why Carmen hated it so much, she is slipping on the ice. The rest are taken as we are sitting trying to convince them that it really will be fun. Carmen was in tears in all the pictures. Aliza could just barely move, she had on so many layers of clothes.

Oh April-
I just laughed and laughed reading this blog! Too funny! Good thing we didn't spend money to go up to Massanutten while you were here.

Your girls are so cute! Its a nice thing you were able to at least try to get them to try the snow.

I don't think the girls would like Utah's winters much. That is a long drive for such a short trip. Oh well, that's life with kids. You guys are good to laugh about it. I like your idea of taking a picture everyday.

Yup... that was AJ. There was crazy snow in Utah for Christmas. I was so excited for him to play in it. He was scared to death. He clung to me and wouldn't walk on it. Such a baby. Sorry you guys had to spend so much time in the car... that stinks!

To funny! I love the marshmellow people that children become when dressed for snow.
