Week 14 - Project 365

Bear with me this week...I have a lot of pictures. I guess I am coming back with a bang to my project. This was a busy week. Carmen turned 4 last week and we did a lot of fun things. These pictures are totally backwards in sequence. One day I will get the hang of uploading them correctly.

On Carmen's birthday we had her friends over for cake and ice cream and to ride bikes in the court. It was a very spontaneous party, yet way low stress. I think I will do it like this every year from now on!
She had to blow the candles out in the garage because it was so windy outside. So this picture has the lovely lawn mower in the back. And no, she didn't turn 5, but insisted on having 5 candles on the cake! So, I guess it's "one to grow on".
This is the computer she HAD to have. She saw it in the back of the car and asked for it everyday before her bday. I kept telling her she had to wait until her bday to get it. I really wanted to return it to the store because we had bought her a Leapster instead and she didn't need both. But since she had peeked, she HAD to have it.
Opening more presents
Showing me that she turned FOUR and wearing one of her new outfits.
Aliza actually let me take her picture this day. She has become very camera phobic. (i hope that's not my fault!)
This is the sassy attitude I've been getting from Carmen lately. She crosses her arms and puts her head down like this and says "hmph!".
David with Carmen at the Mountain House Easter Egg hunt. All she got was stickers, who wants lousy stickers...I'm not bitter at all.

Carmen with her friend Eden before the egg hunt.
Our family has the tradition to ride the carousel on your birthday. Neither of the girls were all that thrilled to ride it this year. They were in a funny mood that day.
This day the girls came downstairs and when I saw them I about peed my pants!! Carmen had drawn glasses on both of them with a marker!! I took the picture before Carmen did the same artwork on Aliza, but Aliza was sporting glasses as well. Even after I told Carmen not to draw on themselves anymore. The marker ended up in the trash! It was all I could do to keep from laughing. In fact, I couldn't stop myself, I laughed pretty hard about it.
Carmens new haircut!!!!!!!!!! Finally, after MONTHS of begging the child to cut her hair, she finally did it. And once I had her in the chair, I told Julie (our haircutter friend) to cut it SHORT! We weren't going for a little trim this time. I love the cut on her, it's so cute, but has somehow made her even sassier!
I also got mine cut and colored. It's fun to have a new style. Since these are out of order, this is the after shot....
...and this is the before shot.
I have more pictures I could post this week, but I will stop myself here. This really is getting fun to do, but it's very time consuming. And the second I get on the computer, all heck breaks loose around here. So, Aliza and Charlotte are napping and Carmen is at a Tea Party for one of her friend's bday - so the house it quite for the time being. Enjoy!

Eden walked in while I was looking at this post and she loved the picture of her and Carmen at the Egg hunt and wanted to look at it for a while until I scrolled down to the "glasses" picture and she cracked up laughing and said "Carmen is so funny!"

Your kids are crazy! But we gotta love them. :-) I wanted you to post a picture of Carmen's balloons. It's ok. I love the haircuts, too.

Ha Ha the marker glasses! That totally beats Taylor coloring with a marker in my ear! Great job kids! By the way - I love the new do's! On you and the kids!
