Dumpster Diving

So I have a confession to make. I am addicted to crafting blogs! I could blog hop all day long looking at all the creative and beautiful things people can make. And secretly I dream that I could make those same things. I frequently read one blog that suggested asking local construction workers for their scrap wood to make your projects with. However, this being California, most the construction workers don't speak English! My friend and I set out to find our own stash of wood that we could just help ourselves to. We waited until dark and this night it was also very rainy and muddy. But we found a dumpster full of treasure! We've already made one project with our stash and I even won a blog contest and I will use my prize on my project. I will reveal the project once the gift has been given.... stay tuned!

oh, I am seriously impressed! That's amazing that they throw away such long pieces of wood. I've also had the same idea but have never gone out to do it...I need to! And so fun that you won a contest! I'm anxious to see what you've made.

I've gone dumpster diving. More like I see someone throwing something out that I could use and I just pull over and load it up in my car!!
