Christmas Village Trip

The few days before Christmas we made a quick family trip down to Williamsburg. We stayed at a time share at the Powhatan Resort and enjoyed Busch Gardens and Colonial Williamsburg. We also enjoyed spending time with my parents and sister. The first day at the park was really rainy for the first few hours we were there. But then it cleared up, making for a nice evening in the park. The rain had scared everyone away so there was virtually no waiting in lines.

Charlotte was a lot braver than we expected. She loved this ride above and also was insistent on riding the Battering Ram! Poppy took her on that one and she came off that ride terrified! But she had no problems riding anything else.

Here's an image I found for those who don't know what The Battering Ram is like.

I waited with the kids while the adults rode some roller coasters. As you can see, we were all a bit wet from the rain, but no one complained!

Aside from Busch Gardens we also explored Colonial Williamsburg. I just love that era of life and find it so fascinating. The kids had fun just running and exploring the  old stores with old fashioned clothes, toys and candy.

We also found this really cool public park that the kids could have played on all day. The place was huge and the weather was absolutely beautiful! This trip was a nice escape from all the Christmas stress. But getting home on Christmas Eve was a little stressful for Santa's helpers!
