Christmas Festivities

I don't know why this time of year always seems more stressful than it should. I always have so many expectations of how my holiday season will play out, and rarely are they met. We did manage to have a lot of fun and I am always so grateful for the full two weeks off of work that David takes each year. I'm also grateful for how he pushes me to do things I don't naturally want to do - like caroling, secret Santas and being more generous.

I've always wanted matching stockings for our family. I finally broke down and bought them this year. I even bought one extra for Baby Boy Bean. I loved the way they looked on my mantle, but every time I looked at them I felt like there were way too many. I found myself counting them constantly and telling myself that yes, we do have that many people in our family.

Our Christmas break started with a fabulous day filled with fun crafts at Oma's house. And then ended with a parade downtown. The girls cousin, Peyton, was in the parade.

We've had an unusually warm December, but this particular night was freezing! I'm glad we were prepared.
