We were finally given the all clear to bring Dallin home on Sunday - one week after he was born. He still needed one last round of antibiotics and his circumcision done that morning. So he couldn't come home until late that afternoon. We all decided we would leave straight from church at 4:30 and go to the hospital to pick him up. Oh my word - that was the longest church service I've ever attended!! And so many people were asking about Dallin and I wasn't meaning to be rude to anyone, but I really didn't want to linger around after church. We were in a hurry and all very excited!
Of course it would be our luck to get stuck behind this guy on the way.... oh so slow.... crawling along at 10 mph and no passing lane. But we finally got there and the girls were excited to meet Dallin for the first time.
Here they each are peeking through the special care nursery window while I signed the discharge papers and got him dressed and ready to go.
Since we were all in our Sunday clothes, we decided to snap a quick family picture.
Getting their first look
The girls were enamored with him.
And everyone took their turn holding him. On the drive home, I got a little teary eyed. I felt complete! I could look back and see my mini van full of children and they were all mine! Each one so unique and special in their own way. I sure am blessed.
