One night after David and I had been on a date, we took a little walk up our street before heading in and relieving the babysitter. :) We realized summer was quickly ending and we needed to pack in some more fun. So we decided to be really spontaneous and take the family camping. We packed up the van and headed to Sherando Lake. It was a really quick trip and everyone had a lot of fun. We all agreed to stay longer next time! (but with air mattresses next time!)

You are so brave to go camping! I know that we used to go all the time, but ever since the boys were born I haven't been willing to try it! I just know it would be a sleepless, frustrating night and it would be so exhausting keeping up with them running in two directions all over the place, and getting into the fire... Traveling with them is so hard. Maybe when they're five????
