After owning this couch for 8 years, we've finally decided it was time for something new. However, we didn't realize how sentimental our kids are and refused to get rid of it! It took a couple of week of convincing, but we finally talked them into it. That's not to say it was an easy goodbye. I even found myself a little sad to see it go. We've had that couch since Carmen was a baby!
Charlotte sitting in her favorite spot for the last time.... even in the garage as we waited for the new owners to come pick it up. Carmen had just come home from school "sick", but I secretly think she wanted to be there when the couch left.
The new couch! And believe it or not, we've all grown to love it.
Charlotte was quick to try out a new favorite spot.
Knowing how sentimental the kids were with the couch, we were a little hesitant to let them know we were also getting a new car. The van was as old as that couch. Surprisingly, they easily said adios to the van and fell right in love with our new Suburban! (because it has a TV!) I think I felt almost more sentimental about letting go of the van.... even a week later I think I am still grieving. There were a lot of memories in both that couch and that van!
