Carmen played for the Purple Pop-rocks and her team went on to play in the Frostbite tournament. Her team started out kind of rough and with a few girls who really wanted to control everything and be ball hogs. But by the end of the season they had great communication and really learned to work as a team. Carmen mostly loved playing goalie and defense, but she did manage to get a couple of great goals! It was amazing to see how much she improved from last season and how much more confident she was this time around.
Charlotte moved up a level in soccer and played for the Maroon Tigers. This season she got to play real games! She was on fire during her first game and make like 10 goals. After the game when we congratulated her on so many goals, she said "I just pretend the ball was a dollar bill and I kept chasing after it!" HA HA HA!!!! We all loved her train of thought.

She also played in the muddiest game ever! I couldn't believer they didn't cancel the game because it was raining pretty hard and the field was a mud pit. But I honestly think the girls all had a blast getting dirty in the mud. There really wasn't a lot of soccer going on, mostly just everyone sliding around the field. I made Charlotte put trash bags on her legs over her shoes to drive home. And Oma game and braved the rain to support her!
While I didn't get a ton of action shots, I did get some cute pictures of some amazing cheerleaders! And Aliza is convinced she wants to play next season.... Heaven help me as I get 3 kids to 3 different soccer practices and games during the week!!
