Carmen's new teacher, Mr. Hicks, is a children's book author. We went to show our support at one of his book signings and picked up a book for Charlotte (since it was about playing soccer)

Our ward had a Hoe Down that was tons of fun. The kids even got into it with their outfits and hats. Dallin danced the night away with his friend Tobia and Josiah.

David brought this plane back from one of his trips for Dallin. He loves it so much and takes it everywhere.
Aliza's 3rd grade class had an etiquette dinner party in the school library and then got to go see The Jungle Book movie. The rest of us joined her at the movie. I wish I had a picture of her from the dinner. They had to make their own reservation and then arrive and practiced good manner and etiquette and how to order off a menu... her teacher was so fantastic! I wish Aliza could have had her all year long!

Charlotte's 1st grade concert and project...
Her project was on the Arctic Wolf
We've decided to embrace our local college football team and cheer for UVA (except when they play BYU) This day we attended a fun fair they had, followed by a spring practice.
Carmen and David made a little bet - she was absolutely certain she could kick a field goal (since she was fresh from her soccer game...) They wagered getting a dog if she could make the goal, here they are shaking on it.
She shoots.... and misses. ;(

David shoots... and misses too. I guess no dog! (even though we're already on the waiting list for a Golden Doodle)

Carmen's piano recital was so beautiful this year. She played a few songs and sang a few songs. Her voice is really gorgeous and I wish she would continue with the voice lessons, but she's decided to just continue with piano.
While the girls were at school Dallin and I picked up some super soakers at Costco. His came up with this amazing plan to hide behind the trees and soak the girls as they got off the school bus that afternoon.

So, here we are hiding behind some trees waiting for the bus to come. We got them pretty soaked until they overcame us, stole our guns and turned them on us!! Then we ran for our lives.

We've discovered a new place to kayak near our new house - Beaver Creek. It's beautiful and we've gone a few time here.

And this was Mother's Day - I love all my little treasures!
