We took the family camping over Memorial Day weekend to Sherando Lake. We just stayed over one night and than swam and kayaked the next day. It was so beautiful and relaxing.

We still haven't been able to convince Dallin to come on a kayak with one of us, but when he does finally decide, it will be fun for us all to go out on the water together. But for now, one of us gets to stick back on the shore and hang with him.
David ran to the store to grab some things for dinner and we decided to get the fire started without him! We were all pretty darn proud of ourselves for the awesome fire. GIRL POWER!!
Making bacon on the fire the next morning - it was SO delicious!!!

It's always hard to head back to school after Memorial Day! Everyone was ready for summer break. But at least they were mostly doing fun things, like Field Day!
And Aliza's class had a "Trashion Show". Their outfits had to be made of recycled material. I was impressed with the things they came up with.
The fire truck came and sprayed down all the kids. It was really wild!

And a GIANT slip n slide that ended in a giant muddy puddle.

And the teachers all got their cars washed!
It was fun to go the school and watch the girls participate in all these things. We still don't really know too many people at Meriwether Lewis, so it felt good to go there and support them, even in something fun.
