We started the month by cheering on the Cavaliers at a home game! It was a little rainy, but we committed to not being "fair weather fans" and stuck it out.
Carmen and David got to go on a Youth Temple trip and he photo bombed this picture of Carmen with her friend Lucy.
Mrs. Gip got to come home from Kindergarten to our home for the weekend. So of course we had to read her "If you give a pig a pancake". She ended up having an extended stay because of some snow days.
David got to coach Dallin's soccer team again this Fall. They both love doing soccer together!
Up to this point in the season though, Dallin hadn't shown much confidence on the soccer pitch. He barely ever went after the ball. Before one game I promised Dallin that if he made a goal I would take him for a treat afterwards. Well, that was all the motivation the kid needed! He scored 13 goals that day!!! And yes, we stopped at the Greenhouse for smoothies, with Mrs. Gip in tow.
It took some convincing to get everyone excited about going to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins this year. And once I finally got everyone in the car and we arrived, they were just closing. Next time we'll check their hours beforehand. We were still able to purchase already picked pumpkins in their store and bought some yummy apple cider donuts and drinks.
Koda is the most patient dog ever. He sure puts up with a lot of shenanigans.
I was excited to go on a field trip with Dallin to a new place called WildRock. It's a sort of outdoor classroom setting. They explored many things about nature and we all had fun playing in the creek and just being free to run outside.
And Carmen got her braces off!! Such an exciting day and just look at that gorgeous smile.
And then tonight she played in her middle school band concert. She was so worried how it would feel to play the clarinet without her braces on, she even considered waiting another 6 weeks to get them off. Turns out it was no big deal!
