Today we were at the park playing when a guy pointed to the sky and said " do you see that?" We all looked up to see the sun had a rainbow halo around it. It was very beautiful and like something we had never seen before. We were all scrambling to get pictures of it with our camera phones...it's all we had. One friend thought for sure it was the Second Coming and Christ was going to appear in the center of the rainbow. I wasn't so sure (I hope when it really does happen I will be more sure!) We left the park and I rushed home to get my real camera to capture some pictures. I was able to get some pretty cool ones. I also Googled it and found out it was pretty common and just means "high rain clouds". So, it wasn't The Second Coming afterall, but it sure was beautiful!

I'm glad you figured it out and were able to get back and get some pictures, I've been wondering about it all day.
I would have thought for sure it was the Second Coming and would have been scared to death if so...meaning I need to get ready for that day!!!
I've never seen anything like that. I guess we don't get high rain clouds in Utah. We went out to dinner last night with the Kamauu's from your ward (Aaron and Elise). It was fun to talk to them about you guys. It's a small world eh?! You take such great pictures April!
Beautiful Picture! Funny you mention that... there was a guy handing out Second Coming pamphlets today at Walmart. Maybe he saw the rainbow halo too.
