Twist and Shout

On Friday our ward had a Sock Hop. The week before my neighbor, Danelle and I decided it would be fun to make our own poodle skirts. After a lot of trial and error, we came up with some really cute skirts - thanks to Danelle!!!! I discovered I have no sewing talents and will stick to the digital world of creativity. The sock hop was a lot of fun and Carmen and Aliza danced all over the gym floor. David and I did a little Karaoke to "Summer Nights" from Grease. We finished the night off with root beer floats. It was such a fun time! These pictures are really bad quality, but you get the idea.

Cute poodles!!! I would have gone all out and made poodle skirts (at least, I'd like to think I would have), but we had to leave before the actual dance because DH had to go to a job at midnight. But, I heard it was a blast! I should have just left the party-pooping to him and stayed.

That is such a good idea for a ward party. Looks like fun. I don't have great sewing talents either. I tried to make my halloween costume once and it took forever.

I think your pictures are still better than ours which I will be posting soon! The skirts are way cute, I'm glad we got to be a part of the pinkness at the party!

Sorry for the poor picture quality! I guess I need some photography pointers. Cute skirts though! I'm glad they all turned out in the end.
