Finishing the Basement

We are finally finishing our basement. I can't wait for it to be done and have so much more room in our house! Here are some before pictures:

First we had to build a loft in our garage to get all that junk out of the basement.

All the framing and most of the wiring is now done, and the drywall is about to go up.

One day, when we get more money, there will be a fireplace in this corner. This will be the family room side.

This spot is where our food storage was originally before we moved it all over next to the doors. 

Hard to tell in the picture, but this is from the office looking into the storage area. This part will remain unfinished. 

The bathroom is unfortunately going to be really large, but we just couldn't figure any better way to arrange things.

From the bathroom door to the steps. I know it's hard to really understand the pictures without seeing them in person. But some have asked to see the progress as we go.

My dad is the contractor on all of this work. He always does an amazing job! I can't wait for it to be finished, so I can send the kids downstairs to be loud.
