Easter egg coloring time!

Oma threw another amazing Easter Egg Hunt at our place again this year. We had a nice Easter lunch with my extended family and then a fun craft with my cousin Jenny and then the egg hunt put on by my mom.
The kids made these adorable flower pots
Then hunted eggs
And then collected prizes!
Yeah for another fun party! I love that my mom always included my cousins and their kids in this event because if it was just her six grand kids, it wouldn't be nearly as exciting.
Easter Sunday
I had birthday, which I don't think I've ever blogged about. My family does treat me pretty special.
I read this in one of Dallin's bedtime Ninjago stories and loved it. It's really true.
Our ward put on a Color Run to fund raise for summer camps. It was super fun!
I started the race with my 3 girls, but they quickly left me in the dust because I don't run, nor do I walk fun quickly. So I ended up spending most of the entire race alone. The benefit of this was I got to enjoy a beautiful trail and stopped and took pictures along the way. (I obviously wasn't in the race to win) and I got a lot of cheering and extra love (read: colored chalk) when I passed the stations. That blue was courtesy Dallin and David!
At the finish line they used leaf blowers to get off as much chalk before getting into our cars. It was pretty funny to watch.

I bought these Popsicle molds to have the kids made yummy treats with lemonade or Kool-Aid, which they loved. But Dallin also LOVES salsa, so naturally he thought we should make salsa Popsicles. I put him off for a long time, trying to convince him it would be disgusting. But after weeks of begging, I finally gave in and let him make just ONE Salsa Popsicle. He must have checked the fridge 100 times to see if it was frozen yet. The next day after preschool, it was ready and he couldn't wait to dig in. One lick was all it took...straight to the garbage it went.

Carmen went to her first stake activity as a Beehive. This was her group she was with to hike up to a fire tower. Luckily most of these kids are in our ward, so she didn't feel totally alone. She had just barely turned 12 the week before.
