We've been looking forward to this trip all year! I remember Jamestown when I was a 4th grader and I loved getting to go with Carmen on her trip. Boy has that place changed a lot! But of course the history and artifacts are the same.
Carmen in front of one of the 3 boats that came into port here.

Carmen and Nina have been in the same class every year since Kindergarten. They are so sweet together!
We got to board one of the boats, I can't remember which one it was... but it was fascinating to imagine so many men crammed into the bottom of the vessel and sailing for several months at a time.
The kids were put to work carving out an old log into a canoe using sea shells.... boy that must have taken the early settlers forever!
Mrs. Shupe's whole class listening about cooking food over a fire.

This girl passed out on the way home. It was terribly hot and such a long day.
But she did muster up enough energy for a mani/pedi!
